On Saturday 19 and Saturday 26 December 2026, from 10am to 3pm, the ALTERRA association leads a snowshoe hike to the snowy summit of Monte Autore (1,855 metres), the “roof” of the Monti Simbruini, on a loop route that is also suitable for families. The initiative is part of the Monti Simbruini Regional Nature Park programme.
The meeting point is the Monna dell’Orso car park at Monte Livata. The fee is 25 euros per person. You will need waterproof boots, a windproof jacket, two thermal layers, sunglasses, gloves and a hat, sun cream and at least half a litre of water.
