Privacy and cookies

What data this site collects, why, and how you can decide.

Who runs the site

The site is run by the SanVitoRomano Lovers community. For any question about your data you can write to info@sanvitoromanolovers.org.

What we do not do

The site requires no registration and, for ordinary browsing, does not collect names, email addresses or other personal data. The only exception is the photo contest entry form, described below. We do not use advertising or profiling cookies.

Photo contest form

The photo contest page has a form for submitting your photos. Filling it in is optional: data is collected only if you choose to take part and press the submit button.

The form asks for your full name, email address, photo title, the photo itself and, if you wish, a short description. We use this data only to manage your entry in the contest and to send you emails about it. We do not pass it on to third parties and do not use it for advertising or newsletters.

The photos you submit may be published and exhibited as set out in thecontest rules.

The form is provided by Tally, an external service embedded in the page: the data you submit is collected and stored by Tally on our behalf. For details seeTally's privacy policy.

After you submit, the name you entered is saved temporarily in your browser for the sole purpose of showing it on the thank-you page: it is not sent to our servers and is deleted when you close the tab.

You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete the data and photos you have submitted by writing to info@sanvitoromanolovers.org.

Visit statistics (Google Analytics 4)

To understand how many people visit the site and which pages are read we use Google Analytics 4, a Google service. Analytics is switched on only if you accept in the banner shown on your first visit: until you accept, or if you reject, it is not loaded and sets no cookies.

If you accept, Analytics sets a few cookies in your browser (with names starting with_ga, lasting up to two years) and collects aggregated data such as the pages visited, the type of device and browser, the language, the approximate geographical area and the referring site. The data is processed by Google, which may also store it on servers outside the European Union. For details seeGoogle's privacy policy.

How to change your mind

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page. If you reject after accepting, the Analytics cookies are deleted from your browser. Your choice is stored only in your browser, not on our servers.
