On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026 Rocca Canterano, in the upper Aniene Valley, celebrates the 42nd Sagra della Rola and Festa del Cornuto (“Feast of the Cuckold”): role are roasted chestnuts, served with new wine, and the festival pairs them with a good dose of irony, with mock parades and the «Le migliori corna ’26» (“Best Horns ’26”) contest.
The food stands are open on Saturday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Sunday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Besides the role, the menu offers cecamariti (handmade fettuccine with tomato sauce or with chestnuts, mushrooms and sausage), beans with pork rind, sausage and chicory sandwiches and hazelnut sweets. The mock parade sets off on Saturday at 6:30 PM and on Sunday at 4:30 PM.
