On Saturday 17 October 2026, at 5:30 PM, the Biblioteca Comunale Fantoniana in Palestrina hosts the presentation of “Spegni tutto. Vivere nell’era artificiale senza diventare robot” (“Switch everything off. Living in the artificial age without becoming robots”, Feltrinelli), the book by Alessio Carciofi, an author and university lecturer who was among the first in Italy to work on digital wellbeing. He will be in conversation with Francesco Iaia.
The book, which also draws on the author’s own experience of burnout, imagines a dialogue between a monk and an artificial intelligence and asks what we should never hand over to machines: not a rejection of technology, but an invitation to use it more consciously, without letting it take over our time and our relationships.
The event is organised by Progetto Segnalibro and admission is free. Refreshments offered by Pasta all’uovo Salomone will follow.
