Piazza Governo Vecchio is one of those corners of San Vito Romano that gets photographed again and again, and yet every time you stop to look at it, it seems to reveal something new. It might be the details of the old stones, a door worn down by time, the view of the alley opening up beneath an ancient portico, or simply the light, which keeps changing and manages to give a different atmosphere even to a place the locals know so well.
That’s exactly the charm of San Vito Romano’s historic centre: it never stops offering small details to discover, to anyone who takes the time to look closely.
