For All Souls’ Day, when many more visitors come to the municipal cemetery, traffic in the access roads changes. This is set out in ordinance no. 42 of 23 October 2026, in force from 8:00 AM on Friday 30 October to 6:00 PM on Tuesday 3 November.
During those days:
- no entry on the last stretch of Via dell’Olmata, up to the main entrance of the cemetery;
- no parking in the car parks in front of the cemetery entrance;
- one-way traffic on Via dell’Olmata towards Circonvallazione Vitellia, from Via del Castagno to the cemetery entrance, with parking allowed on the right-hand side of the same stretch;
- no entry on Via dell’Olmata towards Piazza Roma, from the cemetery entrance to Via del Castagno.
The no-entry and no-parking rules do not apply to vehicles of people with disabilities, emergency vehicles and Red Cross volunteers, or vehicles authorised for cemetery maintenance and for transporting flowers.
Because officers will be on duty in the streets, on Monday 2 November the Local Police office is not open to the public (8:45 AM-1:00 PM); opening hours resume on Thursday 5 November, from 3:15 to 5:30 PM. For urgent matters, write to polizialocale@comune.sanvitoromano.rm.it or call +39 06 9571006.
