An arch does not ask those who pass through it where they come from. It does not ask what you think, who you vote for, whether you arrived yesterday or have always lived here. It is there to let people through, and the houses that hold it up support one another.
This image reached me from Giancarlo on a day when I was thinking about how easy it is, even among people who love the same village, to end up divided by a label. It seemed to me a finer answer than any reply.
Our Arco dell’Ospitale was built to give shelter and welcome to those who needed it. The image is a reinterpretation inspired by the arch: the historical scenes on either side are imaginary illustrations, not documents.
I believe San Vito Lovers can be just this: not a place where everyone thinks the same way, but a space where different people meet, listen to each other and build something together.
That is why I would like to propose a calm discussion on a subject close to many people’s hearts: the greenery and the trees of our village. Which choices, for what reasons, with what alternatives? Anyone who wishes can bring their own point of view, their knowledge, even their doubts, with respect for everyone, local administrators included, because the common good has no colour.
Taking care of a village also means taking care of the relationships between the people who live there.
We are not just looking for roads to cross our village. We are building arches to bring people closer.
